Venturing into the sports Industry, OKX has managed to partner up massively popular football club, Manchester City to bring new projects and events into light.

According to a report published by Forbes, Manchester City and OKX have teamed up in a multimillion-dollar handshake. For now, the complete details of the collaboration have not been revealed, but it has been highlighted by multiple sources that the football club will be gaining quite an impressive distribution of funds on a yearly basis.
In addition to that, the handshake is also said to include many advertisement opportunities for OKX exchange as lots of new cryptocurrency-based advertisements will be displayed at the main Stadium of the Club, which is called the Etihad, which is also host to the football club’s academy space. Not only will OKX be interacting with the Manchester City in terms of just football, but it will also be providing support to the esports teams and organizations that are associate with it as well.
Having a look at Manchester City’s past endeavors, this is not the very first time that the club has been looking into the digital asset market, however it is a first time for OKX to join in with someone in the sporting industry and it sure is a huge deal. Last year, the club had also introduced a crypto-based fan token in partnership with crypto firm Chiliz.
Manchester City and the Metaverse
Manchester City had also previously revealed that they were going to be joining into the Metaverse hype, by constructing a complete digital version of the Etihad Stadium inside of the Metaverse, which will also comprise of a separate deal of three years with electronics giant, Sony corporation, that is aimed towards bringing a new way to interact with fans and introducing new projects.
Chief Marketing Officer at Manchester City, Per Nuria Tarre stated regarding the Metaverse that the whole point of creating this digital space is to let fans relive previous events and enjoy live ones in a completely new and unique way, as there would be no limits to the number of fans watching digitally, basically letting them experience the game from angles they have never seen before.
